Moab Saturday Morning

At the Jailhouse Cafe
We were not particularly energetic this morning but managed to explore downtown and grab breakfast at an eclectic eatery known as the Jailhouse Café. Not too bad. Our table was pleasantly situated outdoors in a cool and shady spot. They had great coffee and interesting selections. Kathy had ginger pancakes with apple butter and I had some southwestern skillet thing with eggs, salsa, and spicy sausage.

A Moab Street Scene

Kathy struck up a conversation with a couple waiting with us for seating and they told us of some Indian writing on the cliffs not too far out of town. Up for a little adventure after breakfast we drove out Potash Road by the uranium mines to the cliffs where we viewed some interesting rock art. It was abutting the Colorado River and in a canyon, as usual, so the scenery was worth the trip as well.

Towering Cliffs
At this moment (4 p.m.) Kathy is resting and I am attempting to keep the blog current. In a little while we’ll hit the hot tub and pool again and then think about supper. Kathy made potato salad earlier and we will probably do something on the grill.  I’m not sure about later but we will think of something.
